Description
In this three-day course, students will learn the fundamental and applied aspects of combustion, as well as an overview of combustion technology as it relates to air pollution control. There is an emphasis on understanding how real combustion systems work to support the inspection and permitting work of regulatory personnel. Simple analytical methods are presented for relating stack measurements to source operating conditions. Typically this course has included a tour of a local power plant or other combustion facility on the 2nd day of the course.
